Assembly of Sea Forms - Barbara Hepworth, 1972
From the Norton Simon Museum:

Hepworth was, after Henry Moore, the most important British sculptor of the 20th century. She continued the semi-abstract tradition of Arp and Brancusi, investing her organic shapes with intense vitality. “Assembly of Sea Forms” is one of her last major works. Hepworth thought of sculpture as “a vehicle for projecting our sensibility to the whole of existence,” believing that each of her works is a “perception of the holiness of life and the universe.” The Sea Forms are individually titled: Back row: “Sea Mother” and “Sea King”; Center row: “Shell,” ” Sea Form and Young,” and “Rolled Sea Form”; Front row: “Embryo” and “Sea Bird.”
